A beach engagement shoot that includes the cutest pup, perfect golden hour light, and ends with a rainbow? A wedding photographer’s dream!

First of all, they have THE CUTEST DOG EVER – Jackson is a dachshund named after their fave snowboarding spot in Wyoming (so cool, right?). He was so good during the shoot – check out the pic of him with a sand-covered snout, and the one of him nestled in Amanda’s flowing dress. Too cute!

Amanda + Kyle’s wedding is quickly approaching (this Friday!!!!!) and I was super happy to get this shoot in before the big day.

When it comes to a beach vibe for a session, I generally always first suggest Dune Road. I always like to start on the ocean side, and as golden hour starts, we chase the light across the road to the bay for some dunes and bayside shots. The golden hour light on this day couldn’t have been more amazing, and it ended with a rainbow!
