When Diana and I chatted about where we could potentially shoot a few months back it only made sense that we come back to where it all began; the Stony Brook Southampton Campus! Diana and Tony’s love story dates all of the way back to 2008. She was studying creative writing, and he was studying marine vertebrate biology. With a campus of only 100 students, they were bound to run into one another. All it took was Diana saying “yes” to go out with Tony on St. Patrick’s Day and they’ve been together ever since!

One of my favorite things beyond getting to photograph these super exciting milestones is also getting to hear all of the stories behind them! Not only did Diana and Tony meet on the campus, but these two got engaged here also (now you totally see why shooting here felt like a definite must.) Last February Tony made a plan for them both to the campus and take photos with his new camera.  Just as the shutter would close, he’d get down on one knee. Unfortunately a snow storm rolled in, their wiper blades broke, and despite Diana suggesting they come back another time, Tony continued with his plan! They posed, he asked, and the rest was history- so here we are, taking a ton of gorgeous engagement photos of them months later!

These two have that go with the flow attitude that I love in clients. They care more about making memories than making a fuss about the wind whipping us around. They were such good sports, and laughed as the wind continue to blow on. We wandered all around the grounds and talked about their upcoming wedding day next August! I already know it’s going to be so much fun and am so excited to be a part of it!
