A whimsical engagement equip with gorgeous, shimmering light and a stop at a donut shop? There’s nothing I could possibly love more as a wedding + engagement photographer! It’s so amazing to experience unique engagement locations alongside my couples, because it allows me to really step outside the box and find different ways to capture the glittering love you two share. Having the chance to walk down boutique streets as you two hold hands and just be together gives me so much inspiration, and I truly love every second of it.

Nicole + Erica met by complete chance, but as soon as they did, it was as though they were tailor-made to be together. Port Jefferson turned out to be the perfect spot for their whimsical engagement photos, because early on in their relationship, the two of them spent the summer riding the ferry back and forth between New York and Connecticut to visit each other. So sweet! One of my favorite parts of their story, though, is that both of them went ring shopping on the same day, at the same time, under the guise that each of them were out running errands and visiting friends. To me, that is the most telling part of their beautiful relationship – they are absolutely meant to be together forever, and getting to be part of their stunning history is such a joy to me!

Not only did we roam the streets of Port Jeff together, but we also stopped off at a little donut shop called East Main & Main, and grabbed a few sweet treats to enjoy on our walk. The two of them could not have been cuter diving into those donuts, and to date, they are some of my favorite whimsical engagement photos of 2017!
