Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year, as the leaves float to the ground and the chill in the air grows crisper. Because of this, autumn has always been one of my favorite seasons – not just because it’s one of the most vibrant, but because with it comes this fantastic feeling that things are changing.

Life is made up of so many stunning seconds, ones that define who you are and ones that create the timeline for the history you make in the world, but the one constant in this is love. I’m so lucky in that sense, because I get to follow the journey my couples go on in love, and I get to appreciate the gorgeous lineage you create for yourselves. It’s truly one of the most incredible parts of my job!

Sarah + Alex are absolutely amazing, and the appreciation that they have for history (whether personal or worldly) runs through their relationship in such defining ways. Together, they’re paving the way for their future while still paying homage to their beginnings, and I couldn’t imaging a better place to capture that fantastic concept than on the streets of Orient – where roots run deep and the history is rich. We found ourselves buried between antique homes and modern details, and even stopped for a little pie outside of Four & Twenty Blackbirds, a quaint pie shop nestled in the heart of the little town. Every moment of this autumn session was tailor made for them, and the images we captured together were unbelievably magical. I still find myself looking through them every once in a while when it’s bitter cold outside and I need a little warmth!

Congratulations, Sarah + Alex! This autumn day was once of the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced, and I can’t wait to see what kind of history you both make with each other!
