An Engagement in the Sunshine

Is it too soon to say that I’m already missing warmer days and all of the beautiful fall colors? If you’re dreaming of warmer times and the days that stay lighter out later than 4pm then join me, Jimmy, Alanna and their beautiful little girl miss Harper as we celebrate their engagement in the sunshine!

My favorite part of my job is getting to capture all of the magic that exists between two people who are in love and these two were no exception. It was so much fun to finally get a chance to take these photos for Alanna and Jimmy and was so happy when they mentioned that they were going to bring their beautiful daughter, Harper, along. We didn’t know if we were going to be able to get any smiles of this little one but I knew I couldn’t pass up showing off her adorable “Save the Date” shirt. It took a few tries, but we finally got this little lady to show off her grin! We were able to capture all the last bits of the fall evening light while these two were open to all the ideas I threw at them, even if that meant Jimmy sweeping Alanna off her feet to give her a kiss more than 1 or 2 (…or 4) times. I think it’s safe to say those are some of my favorite photos from this session, too!

When these two are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary I want them to be able to look back on these images and be transported to this afternoon. These moments when they slowed down, kissed a little longer, and squeezed a little tighter.
