Some days, I just can’t believe that I get to spend my life photographing gorgeous engaged and just married couples in golden settings. It’s such a dream come true! I spend so much time curating welcome boxes, scheduling golden hour sessions, building timelines, and communicating with the people who trust me to third wheel on their wedding day, that I sometimes forget how magical it is to look back at these photos and remember those perfect golden moments we shared together. It’s such an incredible thing.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous in front of the camera, but I always tell all of my couples that once you’re in front of the lens, laughing and joking with each other as the golden light spills over you, you’ll completely forget why you were nervous in the first place. Part of my job as your photographer is to make you feel relaxed, tell a few jokes, and capture you in your best light. By incorporating pieces of who you are together into your session, you’ll find that every photograph tells the story of your love, and I couldn’t be more honored to get to be that storyteller.
Courtney + Vinny’s session at Quogue Wildlife Refuge (where they got engaged – how cute?!) was soaked in golden hour light, and the vintage Dodge they brought along with them was such an incredible relic in the history of them! I loved that they used this super incredible car as a prop, because it added yet another dynamic element to the already lush greenery, gorgeous trails, and of course, beautiful love they share! Seeing the two of them holding hands and exchanging little smiles together was so stunning, and I was so happy to get to be part of it!
Congratulations, Courtney + Vinny! I hope you loved every second of your session with me!
