A location shoot with both forest AND beachy vibes, perfect lighting, and a mama-to-be who looks like a dreamy woodland goddess? I can’t ask for anything more!
I loved doing this maternity shoot at Elizabeth Morton National Wildlife Refuge in Sag Harbor. Jackie and Mathew are expecting their little babe on Cinco de Mayo, and these maternity photos are the perfect way to celebrate her arrival.
This shoot took place in the very early spring and perfectly showcases how you can do a shoot in the off-season and still have it be stunning.
The trees in the wildlife refuge had just enough green to tie into Jackie’s beautiful flower crown. Jackie and Mathew were so much fun to shoot with – they were laughing and joking the whole time, which meant their final shots were so natural and “them.”
When we walked through the woods and came to the beach, I was totally in love. It was a little overcast out, which meant that the light was soft, diffused, and super dreamy – perfect for this modern boho maternity shoot!
