What do you get when you mix the beauty of summer in the city and an incredible love that seems to glitter in the golden light? The stunning engagement session of Jackie + Tom, of course! Even though I don’t often venture into the city, there’s something so refreshing about how much energy flows through the people-filled streets. It’s an amazing change of pace for me, and I always find myself coming home even more inspired and ready to adventure to new places.

Photography, as a whole, is kind of like a blueprint of your life; a map of all the places you’ve been and all the things you’ve experienced. Having your photo taken gives you a still frame of a special memory, and having someone to share that moment with is one of the greatest feelings in the world. This is why I love being a wedding + engagement photographer –  I’m becoming part of your journey through love + life together, experiencing all the incredible love that swirls beautifully around you from behind my lens.

Jackie + Tom’s city session was a culmination of everything that they are together, and the locations they chose were so perfect. We started on the sidewalk right outside the apartment they share together, which was so sweet and personal! Eventually, we made it over to Battery Park, where most nights, Jackie + Tom find themselves on long runs through the harbor. It was so amazing to witness their lives together as we walked through the city, and it reminded me of exactly why I love what I do. There were so many gorgeous nooks and crannies in the park, and even though there are always people littering the streets, we managed to find ourselves in our own little bubble. I loved it so much!

Congratulations, Jackie + Tom! I loved this beautiful session, and it was incredible to be there for this milestone in your life!
