Every once in a while, a super stylish wedding comes along that absolutely takes my breath away. Sometimes it’s the explosive blooms and fantastic decor, other times it’s the way the couple lets the world simply melt away as they relax into each others arms – the kind of love you only read about. No matter the reason, the incredibly romantic vibe that spills around the room is enough to make me pinch myself and wonder how this could even be real: do I seriously get to photograph two people madly in love for the rest of my life?
As a wedding photographer, I see so many versions of love. I see the fierce, unwavering kind; the quiet but strong kind; the kind that sweeps you off your feet; and the kind that reminds you of cozy days on the couch and starry nights. Getting to experience the way you two love each other (along with the amazing friends and family that adore you) is one of the best parts of my job. It reminds me that no two loves are exactly alike, and gives me the drive to create the most incredible and stylish portraits of you guys that truly captures exactly who you are. That’s the difference between me and any regular photographer – I will always find the real, unique, organic you through the eye of my lens and capture memories that you’ll be so thrilled you have to keep forever.
Jenn + Adam’s intimate affair at Oceanbleu may have been slammed by an incredibly strong nor’easter, but their love out-shined the cold and dreary day. As the wind howled across the dunes and the rain fell sideways against the ceremony tent, Jenn + Adam promised each other the most beautiful version of their forever. I don’t think I saw either one of them stop smiling all night – they must have known that their journey was just beginning, and that somewhere out there in the universe, their fates were finally fused together once and for all.
Jenn + Adam, thank you for letting me share in the most perfectly stylish day ever. I hope you’re reveling in that just married bliss, and I wish you both the best! xo
