I have always loved the simplistic beauty of a winery on the North Fork; there’s something so romantic about the way the golden light hits the fields of vines, and how you instantly feel transported to another place and time. Pellegrini Vineyards is no exception, with their sweeping views and white structures specked with a soft purple wisteria. Every inch of that place is a serious dream, and the absolute perfect location for an engagement shoot.

I know you’ve heard me say this a thousand times, but engagement shoots are incredibly important! Choosing a place that means something to you can make all the difference – looking back, you’ll feel this emotional connection to the space, making it all the more special as the years go on! There’s nothing better than being able to remember a time when everything felt smooth and easy; a time when your entire life lay at your feet, just waiting to unfold in all it’s beautiful glory.

Jenn + Mike were two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Their love for each other and uncanny ability to make one another laugh at the drop of a dime was my favorite thing in the world, and it made my job so simple! Both Jenn + Mike absolutely loved Pellegrini Vineyards, so when they approached me with the idea to shoot at the winery, I was elated! There’s nothing I love more than being able to soak up the North Fork – it’s one of the greatest gems Long Island has to offer, don’t you think?

Pellegrini Vineyards really was the perfect winery for this engagement session, with various locations within the vineyard that gave me the ability to capture these two love birds in a few different environments. The beautiful purples and greens were so vibrant just before golden hour, and I loved bringing out the natural splendor of such a gorgeous place. We even stumbled upon a sweet horse behind a farm fence who walked up to us and nuzzled his nose into our hands! It was the perfect addition to an already insanely romantic shoot, reminding me why I love engagement sessions in the first place.
