A wintery chill in the air + a brand new baby girl on the way = one of the most perfect ways to close out my 2017 maternity sessions. I honestly love wintery maternity sessions like this one, because it adds a little bit of overcast sky to the glowing radiance that is your beautiful baby bump (and the way you two look at each other with such incredible excitement!). Adventures like this one are always filled with so much love, and getting to take stock of that as a photographer has been such a gift in my life. There is nothing more fantastic than bringing a life into this world, and I am so honored to be part of the journey that gets you there. It’s so, so special!
Julie + Chris were such an amazing couple, and even though we had several reschedules because of the rain (an unpredictable December, for sure!), Jedediah Hawkins Inn proved to be the most perfect Wes Anderson-style location we could have ever chosen. The wintery mix between hazy skies, twinkling Edison bulbs, pastel colors, and the cozy decor of the Inn could not have been more fitting for these two lovebirds. The glow that flickered in their eyes as they looked at each other was enthralling, and I loved getting to third wheel behind my lens as they let the magic unfold. We captured such a special time in their lives, and I will always cherish the fact that I was able to be part of this frozen moment forever.
Julie + Chris, congratulations on baby Ophelia! She is so gorgeous, and her little cheeks are so beautiful! I wish all three of you so much light + love, and I can’t wait to watch Ophelia grow and learn with a set of such amazing parents.
