When Katie met Dan almost 6 years ago, she fell for him – literally. She fell down the stairs at their friend’s Ugly Sweater party right in front of Dan (and the rest of the people there!). I guess it got his attention, since they’ve been together ever since- I love stories like this.
Dan proposed to Katie at Gullfoss Waterfall in Iceland – so romantic! And seriously – look up Gullfoss Waterfall. It looks AMAZING, like a photographer’s total dream spot.
I loved their engagement shoot at Avalon Park. Did you know that there’s a HUGE wildflower field on the north side of Avalon Park?! I didn’t – until their shoot. It’s perfect for dreamy, romantic, lost-in-a-meadow engagement shoot vibes.
Engagement Shoot Tip: If you want to do an engagement shoot at one of the popular spots (farms, museums, venues, arboretums), get ready to pay a site fee. Many, if not most, sites charge a fee and sometimes there are fees you might not even think about – for example, if you want to shoot on the beach in certain spots, you’ll need to purchase beach passes unless you’re a resident. Avalon Park is one of the few spots that we can shoot without needing to pay a fee, so if you’re looking to keep your budget down, it’s a great option.
