Kimmi + Eddie | The Refuge, Melville - Kaitlyn Ferris Wedding Photography

I was so excited to shoot this wedding! Kimmi + Eddie contacted me to shoot their wedding even before they had a venue and date, so I almost felt like a part of the planning process. Then through mutual friends we got to celebrate weddings together, showers and bachelorettes- so this day was something I had been looking forward to for awhile!

Kimmi and Eddie have the cutest proposal story EVER. They were doing a gender reveal, and when they opened the box of balloons, Kimmi was looking for pink or blue. Instead, the sky was filled with white balloons – and Eddie was down on one knee. Kimmi’s first words were, “The ring is huge!” followed by “Yes!,” then by, “Wait – what are we having?” For those of you still wondering – it was a boy! Their little son Kenny is SO CUTE. He was pumped the whole day and was such a good sport for all the pictures.

Kimmi and Eddie’s reception was at the Refuge in Melville – such a great spot for a wedding! I’ve been wanting to photograph it forever, and their big day was the perfect occasion. These two are such a fun-loving, laid-back couple and their wedding day perfectly reflected their personality. The donut “cake” was a total highlight! I couldn’t be more happy to have been a part of it all!
