I absolutely LOVE when I get to shoot engagement sessions in the little towns that dot Long Island’s North Fork. One of my favorite spots is Greenport, a beautiful seaside village replete with amazing restaurants, fun shops, and perfect nooks for photographs.

When Nicole + Andrew told me they wanted to do their engagement shoot in Greenport, I was so excited.

Greenport has endless possibilities for photos, and we took advantage of all of them. Some of my favorites:

• The pier/dock – perfect for getting photos near the water. Tons of natural light, and my photographer brain loves the compositions I can make with the pier in the background.
• The boatyard – I love shooting here for couples who want a nautical vibe for their shoot.
• The little alleyways – these brick-lined alleyways, hidden off the main streets, make it feel like you’re in an old European city.
• The shops on Main Street – there are tons of interesting shops on Main Street. I loved capturing a shot of Nicole + Andrew in front of the furniture store and in front of some unique storefronts.

If you’re looking for an engagement shoot where you can incorporate lots of different backgrounds and also capture the “feel” of your favorite town, Greenport is a perfect location!
