Lauren + Danny’s Long Beach engagement shoot was awesome from start to finish! They live in the neighborhood and Lauren is an avid surfer, so it was really special to capture a spot close to their hearts and lives.

I loved that they brought their bikes – we got super cute action shots on the Boardwalk! When I saw that big painted blue and white wall, I knew it would be the perfect backdrop.

Lauren + Danny had a quick outfit change (always a good idea), and we headed to the beach for some more photos just in time for sunset! I can’t for their wedding at the Harbor Club!

Engagement Shoot Tip:  As you can see from this shoot, you can’t beat golden hour at the beach. While overcast skies create a really cool, moody vibe, I prefer being able to capture the unbeatable magic of the slowly fading sunlight. I usually recommend rescheduling if it’s gonna be rainy or super cloudy on the day of your shoot.
