Summer has always been my absolute favorite season for so many reasons; I can finally take the top off of my Jeep, Kevin and I go on more adventures and take more time for sunset drives on the beach, and I let myself fall into the flow of wedding season as the days get longer and the nights become freckled with handfuls of glittery stars.

For me, summer feels like a renewal. It gives me the chance to step outside of my comfort zone and get creative with my photography, whether it’s a gorgeous, sun-soaked engagement session, or a dreamy wedding day that leaves me speechless. And even though most of my weekdays are spent at my desk in my office, I’m still always thinking about how I can capture my couples and the beauty of summer in the same frame.

This year, I was so lucky to kick off my summer with the beautiful soiree of Lauren + Nick at Willow Creek Golf + Country Club, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that I was able to spend the first day of June with such an incredible couple. Their gorgeous details, which included sweet succulent styled invitations and a pair of rings that sparkled every time the light hit them, were straight out of my dreams (because we all know how much I love plant friends and details)! Every moment of their wedding day overflowed with an electric kind of love; the kind that reminds you of slow Sunday mornings and warm summer nights. I couldn’t have possibly loved their day any more, and I think you’ll love it just as much, too!
