Let’s kick things off with a bit more about me, shall we? In particular, a handful of facts that you may not know from just my about me section.

I’m a leap year baby!

Yes, It’s true- I only get a “real” birthday every four years! Despite hating the attention I received for it in science class growing up, I think it’s the neatest thing ever now. I spent this past leap year on a road trip through Ireland with a sweet guy in my life, Kevin- whose birthday is actually February 28th, so we celebrate the “same” birthday for the three years in a row that the 29th doesn’t exist!

I went to college at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.

When I graduated high school I wanted so bad to be in the city! I thought that was the place that was where all artists needed to start off and where I would really be able to begin doing what I love. I loved the school, learned a great deal, had some incredible mentors but always found myself heading back home to Long Island when it came to shooting personal projects and booking sessions. It didn’t take me long to realize all the happiness that came from a good farm photo session (throw some mountains in there and i’ll be ecstatic!) With all of my work being so word of mouth I found myself taking a leap and graduating after two years with my associates degree and diving into my business head first! 2017 will mark my sixth year of business, and I feel so grateful that I get to do what I love!

I am an only child…

BUT! I have a best friend, Aiyana, who is more of a sister than I ever could have wished for. We’ve been super close for about 8 years now and the chances of her name popping up on a first name basis even if it’s the first time I am meeting new people is super likely.

I have a Jeep Wrangler!

It’s safe to say I am in love with it. I literally decorate the inside for the seasons (I swear i’m not crazy) whether it be a little succulent in a tiny terra-cotta or a tiny white pumpkin! It makes living on an island pretty cool, too- driving on the beach is the best!

I’ve photographed a ton of yoga!

My senior year of college I did a series on levitation and started incorporating photographing yoga in my personal work! Totally non wedding related like most of my work, but has opened super cool windows for me like a 6 page spread in the Yoga Journal magazine in Russia in 2014, a cover photo for Amazon Audible’s Mat as Mirror podcast with Laura Ahrens, a yoga retreat where I photographed several yogi’s in Tulum, Mexico and a handful of other awesome experiences!
