Helen’s Greenhouses & Flower Farm, Riverhead, New York Engagement

These two, this light, this beautiful location– am I right? Is there any better way to celebrate the engagement of two super sweet people? Little did these two know back in high school that their paths would cross again, and that they wouldn’t be able to imagine their lives without the other. Travis went into the Navy after school, while Nikki went on to college. It wasn’t until years later that they would rekindle their friendship, and end up falling wildly in love.

So after years of being apart, it’s no surprise that Travis couldn’t go any longer without Nikki by his side. He scratched the plans of waiting any longer, got down on one knee and popped the question at midnight in the middle of their living room. She showed me her ring during the session (seriously gorgeous and rose gold, too!) and we talked about their upcoming wedding in September. We walked and explored all that the farm had to offer (a BIG thank you to everyone at the flower farm for being so welcoming!) These two were such troopers as I tossed out ideas to them. It’s sessions like these that make me realize just how close to my heart the North Fork is. This time we were climbing in the corn, and next time we’ll be celebrating them as Mr. and Mrs.!
