Do you ever see those perfect first birthday parties on Pinterest and your jaw just drops because you can’t believe how incredibly chic everything is? That is absolutely how I feel about Nora’s insanely stylish ‘Wild One’ first birthday party – complete with a sparkly golden crown and the ombre naked cake of everyone’s sweet dreams!

Not only were the deserts utter perfection (Nora’s mom Suzanne and her mom even made the guest’s cake – a white-iced tiered confection with a “1” candle and a gorgeous flower!), but the little areas set up for guests were so wonderful! There was an alphabet book station, where everyone could color a page for Nora to compile a little memory book, along with a time capsule, where people wrote notes for Nora to open in 2034! I love how sentimental it was, because I know it’s something Nora will cherish throughout her life. But have I talked enough about the food? Because there was also a donut bar with glittery signs and colored icing!!! In case you couldn’t tell, I was absolutely in love with this day. Can we do it again!?

Being able to photograph Nora’s first birthday (and make the super cute chalkboard sign displayed at the party!) was so much fun, because who doesn’t love a bunch of adorable kids having the time of their lives!? Between the rainbow of crayons and the sparkling teepee for the kids, Nora couldn’t stop smiling – it was obvious she was the happiest baby on Earth! And who wouldn’t be? Nora’s great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins journeyed from all over to see her turn one, and the outpouring of love was just amazing. I must admit, I teared up a little bit knowing that Nora is growing up so quickly!

Even though Nora is really Kevin’s niece, it has been such an honor to watch her grow up this past year and witness all the amazing things she’s learned! Since I’m an only child, I feel so lucky to share Nora and Jack, Kevin’s nephew, with everyone because it added a layer of deep, unending love to my life that I didn’t know I was missing! Having them in my life has brought so much sunshine and happiness, and I can’t tell you enough how much I love them.

But enough about me – take a peak at Nora’s super chic birthday bash!  Nora’s parents, Suzanne and Adam, seriously knocked this party out of the park, and I can’t even truly describe how perfect everything was –  you’ll just have to see for yourself!
