A Chilly North Fork Affair at Giorgio’s
Now that the rush of the holidays are over and 2017 is finally here, I am super excited to sit down and blog the gorgeous North Fork wedding of Pam and Matt! Their absolutely flawless day was enough to satisfy even the deepest cravings of the wedding-obsessed, from mixed and muted florals to some super sweet flower girls (and one was so overwhelmed when she saw Pam for the first time, she cried!!! Is that the cutest thing you’ve ever heard, or what!?).
One thing I always love to do with my couples is learn as much as I can about their story. This helps me so much as a photographer, because it allows me to develop a really special bond with my couples and really truly capture them just as they are! When I first spoke with Pam, it was like talking with an old friend, and when she told me about her belief that she and Matt were brought together by pure fate, that really struck me! Because of a butterfly-inducing, chance meeting at a new job, Pam and Matt’s fate was already mapped in the stars: they were going to stand at the altar, hand in hand, and profess their love to one another other in front of some adoring friends and family. And, on this chilly day in December, that’s just what they did.
One of my absolute favorite parts of the day was seeing the look on Matt’s face as Pam and her father practically floated down the aisle. The instant the doors parted and he saw his bride, Matt’s face filled with such raw emotion, and it became clear the sheer amount of love and admiration he had for Pam. From there, the day read more like a fairytale than a simple wedding day! Their formal photos, which took place on the always beautiful grounds at Giorgio’s Caterers, started off a little overcast, but as Matt spun Pam around, the sun peaked through (almost as if Pam had brought it out!!) and absolutely bathed the two of them in natural light. It was incredible, truly!
Pam and Matt, I hope you loved having me as much as I loved being there! I wish you many more years of growing together (and with Stella, of course!!), learning together, and experiencing those butterflies together over and over again. Enjoy!
