When choosing a spot for an engagement session, you can’t get better than the Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. There are endless beautiful spots to shoot dreamy portraits, and it looks gorgeous in every season (check out a summertime Planting Fields engagement shoot here!). For Phil + Nicole’s engagement shoot, we took advantage of the adorable pink cottage, the blooming flower bushes, the wide-open fields, and more.
Phil and Nicole met in law school and have been together ever since. I’m so excited to shoot their wedding next March – they’re such a sweet, funny, and easygoing couple.
Nicole wore the PERFECT dress for this shoot – check out the shots of it flowing in the springtime breeze. The golden hour light and just-blooming flowers couldn’t have been prettier.
Another thing I really loved about this session was that we held it in March, right around the same time of year that they’ll be getting married. When you think about your save-the-dates, they set the tone of your wedding day. If you’re getting married in the spring, it makes total sense to have that same vibe in the engagement pictures you’ll be putting on your save-the-dates.
I loved shooting these two, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful details they choose for their big day!
