There’s nothing more perfect than a vintage touch to a modern wedding day. The gorgeous old world elements peppered in with some current pieces creates the perfect juxtaposition of your old life and the new one you’re about to embark on. It’s the most beautiful way to signify a shift in the path of your life, while still giving a nod to your heritage and all the incredible things that make you who you are.

Sarah + Timmy’s Hallockville Museum Farm wedding was a down home bash with tons of vintage elements that truly brought out Sarah’s chic style. Her tea length gown was such a perfect compliment, and all of the personal touches she added truly made her look like an old world movie star. Sarah even wore a pair of vintage hair pins that were passed down to her mom, and then to her, by her grandmother, and it was so beautiful to see such an age old lineage be continued. I loved it so much!

Every bit of Sarah + Timmy’s day was a nod to the people in their lives that have made an impact on them, including Sarah’s dad, who passed away a few years ago. The color purple, which was her dad’s favorite color, was in everything – from Timmy’s sleek suit to the florals. It was an amazing way to incorporate the pieces of their lives into the start of one they’d share together.

One of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed on a wedding day was when Sarah’s brother and sister-in-law surprised Sarah by performed a touching rendition of a song that Sarah’s dad used to sing to her as a little girl, and the sheer weight of emotion that filled the room was paramount. It absolutely overflowed, and I could feel myself getting a little teary eyed thinking about how sweet it was that her own brother and new sister would do such a sentimental thing for her.

Sarah + Timmy, I know you already know this, but your day was one of my favorites of the year. I am wishing you so much love and happiness (with a little vintage touch!). Congratulations!
